Street and Davis Performance Hall, Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre

Free; registration required.

Let the orchestra and your imagination take you on a magical tour for students in 4th-8th grades in public, private, and homeshcools, from medieval Germany to aristocratic Vienna and from the wild American West to a Mexican nightclub. The program will include the dramatic Prelude from Wagner’s Lohengrin; a movement from one of Mozart’s most famous piano concertos; an excerpt from Aaron Copland’s Billy the Kid, which has everything from a barn dance to a gunfight; and Arturo Marquez’s lively tribute to Mexico City’s world-famous dance halls, Danzon No. 2.
