On-Sale Dates
Subscriptions for the 2026-2027 season go on sale Thursday, June 18, at 10:00 a.m. Individual tickets go on sale Thursday, August 6, at 10:00 a.m.
Reserved and General Admission Seating
For reserved seating performances, select your favorite seat in the house.
Seating for general admission events is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The theatre generally opens 30 minutes before performance start times.
Pricing
Ticket prices for adults range from $25-$95 for most events, depending on the specific performance and seating location. Student and youth tickets are $10 for most performances. Special events, including Broadway performances, have premium prices. Tickets are not required for children aged three and younger. Discounts are available to subscribers and groups, excluding Broadway in Blacksburg performances and some special events.
Student Tickets
Tickets for Center for the Arts-presented performances are $10 for students with a valid student ID, as well as youth 18 and under. Youth and student ticket pricing may vary for Broadway performances and special events. Availability of free, last-minute rush tickets varies by performance, and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid Virginia Tech ID will be required for admission.
Guest Events
Throughout the year, the Center for the Arts is home to a wide variety of events from external presenters and campus and community groups. These organizations rent the center to present their events, which are not curated or presented as part of Center for the Arts (CFA) season. These events are not eligible for subscriber and other discounts offered on CFA-presented events.
More Ticketing Information
We offer several options for ticket delivery.
- Choose "Will Call" to pick up your tickets from the box office at no charge.
- Select "Print at Home E-Tickets" and you will receive your tickets by email as a PDF attachment to be printed or scanned from a smart phone at no charge.
- Select "Regular Mail" to have your tickets mailed to your home address for a $5 delivery fee.
Groups of 10 or more may be eligible for a 10% discount to Center for the Arts events. Certain events, including Broadway performances and some special events, are not eligible for discounts. Please contact the box office by email or by phone at 540-231-5300 to inquire about group ticket availability.
If you are no longer able to attend an event, consider donating the value of your ticket. Your support helps sustain our ability to bring our community together through the arts. By choosing to donate your ticket, your seat is then released to the free student rush ticket program for Virginia Tech students. Please contact the box office at artscenter@vt.edu or by phone at 540-231-5300 to make this request, or simply turn in your extra ticket at the box office.
Tickets for most events are eligible for a credit towards the purchase of another Center for the Arts event within the current season. If you are no longer able to attend an event, please contact the box office at artscenter@vt.edu or by phone at 540-231-5300 at least one hour in advance of the scheduled performance to request a credit for the value of your tickets. Ticket credits expire at the end of the current season.
While all sales are final, tickets to most events may be exchanged for another Center for the Arts performance within the current season. Please contact the box office at artscenter@vt.edu or by phone at 540-231-5300 at least one hour in advance of the scheduled performance to request an exchange. Refunds may be offered in extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the box office manager.
Official tickets for Center for the Arts performances are only available for purchase online at artscenter.vt.edu or through the center’s box office, either in person or by phone at 540-231-5300. The center is not responsible for tickets purchased from other sources. Tickets obtained from third-party ticket vendors or resellers may be invalid, are often inflated in price, and are not eligible for assistance if tickets are ever lost or stolen or if the event is canceled or rescheduled.

Center for the Arts performances and special events may be canceled due to inclement weather in extreme cases. Ticket holders will be notified via email about cancellations as soon as a determination has been made. If you do not have an active email, we will contact you by phone.
