Before hearing Vox Luminis peform the work, explore the monumental scale and revolutionary artistry of Claudio Monteverdi’s Vespers of 1610 with Michael Shasberger, artistic director of Roanoque Baroque.

Shasberger established Roanoque Baroque in 2022 following a 50-year career in music education and performance. He holds a doctorate in conducting from the University of Southern California. Over his career, Shasberger has taught at Westmont College, Butler University, and the University of Colorado Boulder, and served as artistic director for the West Coast Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra, and the Mostly Strauss Orchestra.
