2024-2025 Arts Impact Report

Dance majors from Radford University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts explored A.I.M by Kyle Abraham’s signature steps and expressive phrases in a class led by a member of the company.

Support by the Numbers

Engagement numbers continued to grow and attendance at Center for the Arts (CFA) events was strong during the 2024-2025 season, with more than half of the performances selling out and more than 13,700 visitors to the galleries.

The center has been a hive of activity throughout the year. Home to Center for the Arts-sponsored programs, campus and community organizations also hold events in the center throughout the year. 2024-2025 saw a 39% year-over-year increase in the total number of events held in the center.

"The magic of the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech exists in its expansive variety of performances and exhibits that speak to the hearts of all generations and let our spirits soar. Serving on the Center for the Arts Advocacy Board is very rewarding. Not only do the members share a commitment to advancing center goals, we also have 'behind the scenes' opportunities to work with the staff and learn more about event planning, exhibit curating, and facility operations."

— Rosemary Blieszner, Ph.D., Alumni Distinguished Professor Emerita; senior fellow, Center for Gerontology; and chair, Center for the Arts Advocacy Board
