Applications for the 2026-2027 season are open now through Friday, March 26, 2027.
The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech is pleased to offer transportation reimbursement to help reduce travel costs for PK12 schools attending school matinee performances. Funding is limited and awarded based on eligibility and availability.
Eligibility
The following schools and educational groups are eligible to apply for transportation reimbursement (subject to available funding). All requirements must be met in order to apply:
- Individual Title I public schools
- Public schools located in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Public schools attending a school matinee at the Center for the Arts
The following are not currently eligible for transportation reimbursement:
- Private schools or private educational organizations
- Entire school districts
- Homeschool families, educators, or homeschool groups

Applications for the 2026-2027 season are now open and will close on Friday, March 26, 2027.
Reimbursement awards are made on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available.
All applicants will be notified of their status at least four weeks before their selected performance date, regardless of whether they are selected. Schools that receive an award will have one week to accept or decline the reimbursement offer.
Because funding is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee reimbursement.
